Multimedia Project
Loaves & Fishes is an organisation in Port Alfred that gives monthly food parcels to families who are battling financially. This documentary shows the stories of two women who have been helped by the initiative; how their relationships and lives are being restored. Corrie Parsons is the main facilitator of Loaves and Fishes. Her organisation gives out food to those in need, but more importantly gives them the helping hand up that they need.

This multimedia project is part of a learning experience in my final term. The aim of the project is to be up-skilled from a TV Journalist to be able to create in different mediums using a similar topic for each.
The topic I explore is the Loaves and Fishes initiative in Port Alfred. I look at how it is helping to heal families through giving donations of food each month as well as help psychologically.
I chose this topic as part of my on-going process as a Journalist to explore 'good news' stories of social development. The social development that I look at starts close to home and spreads out due to people paying good deeds forward.
